OAGS BOARD ELECTION 2011: As per usual, the staggared elections for our board of directors occurred during the 17th Annual OAGS Meeting on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre.

Of the 14 board members, half came to the end of their two-year terms. Seven agreed to run for re-election with one new nomination (Dr. Frank Baillie); as such, long standing board member Dr. James Forrest offered to step down to avoid a vote. The following candidates were acclaimed for a 2-year term: Drs. Philip Barron, Suru Chande, Ian Chin, Dennis Desai, James Forrest, Ciaran Kealy, Chris Vinden. We would like to thank all those who stayed for the business meeting and look forward to having you join us again during the staggared elections at next year's 18th Annual Meeting in 2012. NOTE: Candidates must be members of the OAGS and RCPSC-certified. Nominations with 2 supporting signatures must be submitted 1 month before elections in order to appear on the paper ballot. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor.

The officer positions will be discussed and voted upon by the executive during the February board meeting following the OAGS Annual Meeting Board Election. See below for the complete listing:
